SEO and AI Search Consulting for Law Firms

Your firm needs inquiries that fit the matters you want to handle and the markets you serve. When search activity is not translating into relevant prospective-client conversations, the next decision is where the gap begins: demand, visibility, the website, or intake.

I’m Chuck Price, Founder of Measurable SEO. I help law-firm leadership assess search priorities, direct teams and vendors, and connect reporting with the quality of demand the firm can evaluate.

Start with the matters your firm wants

Practice areas, geography, and the firm’s capacity should shape the search plan. A broad increase in traffic is of limited use if visitors need a service you do not offer or representation outside your market.

  • Which practice areas and locations deserve investment now?
  • Do prospective clients reach a page that addresses the service they need?
  • Are you attracting relevant inquiries, general research, or requests the firm cannot serve?
  • Does the current agency’s work support the firm’s priorities?

Make the path from search to intake easier to assess

Demand and page fit. Review the relationship between practice-area questions, geographic relevance, and the pages that receive visitors. Additional location pages need a useful purpose; repeating the same copy across cities is not a strategy.

Credibility and accuracy. Assess how clearly the site explains services, attorney experience, and the next step. Your designated attorney reviews and approves legal content and determines whether it meets applicable professional requirements.

The inquiry path. Examine how a visitor moves from the relevant page to a call or inquiry. Where scope and access allow, compare the website’s recorded actions with the intake team’s assessment of fit.

Separate inquiries, consultations, and retained matters

Track inquiries, consultations that meet your firm’s qualification criteria, and retained matters separately. Your firm defines those criteria and decides which matters to accept. Search reporting should show which stages the available records can connect and where the connection remains uncertain.

The review can identify missing definitions, inconsistent tracking, or handoffs that make performance hard to interpret. It should also show where attribution remains uncertain, rather than assign every retained matter to a single search interaction.

If paid search is part of the program, its targeting, landing pages, and intake measurement can be assessed alongside organic search when relevant to the agreed problem.

Evaluate how AI answers describe the firm

An AI-search assessment can examine whether sampled answers describe your firm and services accurately, which sources they cite, and whether any observable visits follow. It does not promise a recommendation or treat a mention as a prospective client.

AI search consulting explains the assessment approach and its measurement limits. The findings belong in the same set of priorities as the firm’s SEO work.

Choose support around the decision

Strategic Search Review: establish what is wrong, what matters, and where to invest. I lead analysis, prioritization, recommendations, and the leadership readout. Implementation is separately scoped.

Focused Improvement Project: resolve an agreed search, conversion, paid-search, or measurement problem. I lead diagnosis, strategy, implementation direction, QA, and reporting. Implementation may be performed by me, Measurable SEO resources, approved vendors, or your existing team, depending on scope.

Fractional Search Leadership: I own strategic priorities, decisions, team and vendor direction, QA, measurement, and reporting. Execution may be handled by Measurable SEO, your teams, agencies, or other approved resources.

Compare the engagements or review Fractional Search Leadership. Scope and pricing are proposal-based.

Questions from law-firm leadership

Can you work with our current agency?

Yes. I can review priorities and work with or oversee your existing agency, developers, and internal team within the agreed scope.

Does every practice area need a separate project?

No. Start with the firm’s priorities and the evidence. The scope may span several practice areas or focus on a specific problem; it should not be determined by a page-count package.

Will you approve our legal content?

Your designated attorney owns legal review and approval. My role is search strategy and the delivery responsibilities agreed in the proposal.

Discuss Your Firm’s Search Priorities

Share the practice areas and markets that matter, what is underperforming, and the decision your leadership team needs to make. Discuss Your Firm’s Search Priorities or explore a Strategic Search Review.

For an initial project discussion, describe the business problem without sending client files, privileged communications, or confidential matter details.
